Dear SIMMTECH Family,
This morning, the sun has risen without exception to show us new dreams and hopes for the upcoming year.
In 2005, despite the unexpectedly changing economic environment and increasing competition in our industry, we exceeded our target sales of $200 million. Last year, our slogan was "Survival." The successful sales record is nothing but a fruit of our highly focused survival method, "3+3 Strategy." And it is also the result of the integration of our manufacturing, technology, sales, supporting, business administration and finance departments.
Yet, our greatest achievement from last year is SPS department's gaining No. 1 market share with BOC yield stabilization. Now, every one in four computers around the world has our memory module, and every one in five DDR2 Package is our product.
You are the one who made this possible. As a CEO of this company, I truly appreciate your passion and hard work for SIMMTECH.
As you know, our slogan for this year is "Technology Only!"
Until now, we positioned our core competence on manufacturing competitiveness of mass production. From now on, however, we need to put our full focus on developing products that will be commercialized in the next 1~2 years, and next generation technologies for the next 3~4 years.
We already work with the world's top tier customers, and our competitors are also the world's leading companies. From now on, we cannot compete or meet the needs of our customers without a set policy for technology preemption.
I believe that we had a clear understanding of where to focus our strength in the future during the membership training at 'Songso Go-taek.' They are UTC and Fine Pattern for SPS, Build up technology application of Module and B2it for HDI departments. I have no doubt that we will have a chance of winning any competition, if we put all our energy in these areas. If we differentiated ourselves with customers and products up to this point, our differentiation strategy will now focus on R&D and technology.
The specific plans to well establish our slogan are as follow:
First of all, we will hire additional engineers. We will put our priority on continuously recruiting major talents and maintaining current key players. We will also complete the R&D center in Ochang by the 2nd quarter this year. Investment in research instruments will be emphasized for the New Year's budget. Thus, we will have the world's best mass production technology, R&D, and original technologies to the world's best level.
Dear SIMMTECH Family,
In this Digital Convergence Era, where all the electronics converge to one product, and IC's high density integration, which makes products light and small, we are facing a new paradigm, as well as new opportunities and challenges in the PCB and Substrate industry. In order to succeed, we first need a clear direction of our technologies and target market. And we need to put all our focus on that direction.
Can we do this? Yes! We can.
Our challenge to become the Top 3 PCB Manufacturer has already begun.
